Life Web Series

I have written six books in one series, collectively called the Life Web Series

Web Walker, book 1 of the Life Web Series

Life is woven like strands in a web- just like bits of stories are.  Some lives, and therefore some tories, end up woven in patterns that the mind could never anticipate.
Thane’s life is turning out just this way.  When his life is saved by a girl named Raynara, their lives become entangled, and the two are swept into a perilous adventure.  Chased by powerful creatures, the two new friends work to outthink an even more powerful enemy - Cruin.  Once a friend of Thane’s, this youth will do anything to stop them.
Raynara and Thane seek a powerful magical artifact, and it’s a race against this past enemy to see who will reach it - and its awesome power - first.  If Cruin reaches it first, they’re dead.  And Cruin, a powerful sorcerer already, is doing all he can to weigh the odds in his favor.  The worst trick he’s played thus far is a Curse, which he’s set to dog Thane’s every step.  If Raynara isn’t careful, she’ll be the Curse’s next victim.
And so the two set out - Walkers on the same Web.
    With any luck, they’ll survive.

Spider Weavings, books 2 of the Life Web Series
The amulet has been shattered - the immensely powerful amulet that Thane and his friends had been seeking is now blown to the winds.  Literally.
The game continues, however, only on a different scale and with different rules.  The amulet’s pieces must be hunted down.  If Cruin finds them first, he will still gain their awesome power.  Therefore, Thane and his friends (Raynara and the now-returned Akkarn) must find and nullify the shard’s magic first.
Old troubles still dog their steps - Enaren remains as long as the amulet or its pieces do, and he’s lost none of his deadliness.  He also has everything to lose if Thane wins.
In this new chase, old friends return and new ones surface - but the same can be said for enemies, so things get no easier, and every added person changes the rules.
As always, the path is a crooked and indecipherable one - as indecipherable perhaps as a Spider’s Weavings.
The last round ended in a draw - will Thane and his friends win this one?

Many Threads, book 3 of the Life Web Series
Normalcy is a myth for Thane and his friends as trouble again looms over their heads.  This time, they find themselves helping an enemy - Enaren.  It’s something that none of them ever thought they’d do.
All the problems that Thane, Raynara, Pacrion, and Akkarn thought they had resolved have managed to find new roots, sprouting to entangle the group all over again.  Worsening matters, Cruin is still in the game and more cunning and determined than ever.  By chance, Thane and his friends find new allies to combat these new problems.
However, they soon find that the real problem lies in telling just who the enemy is - for as new characters enter and the path they follow continues to branch, they find that with every new fact, they find a question that follows.  Like Many Threads woven together, it is impossible to follow one from beginning to end without getting caught in a dozen others.  The friends also soon find that seeing the whole pattern of their quest grows more complicated by the second - and time is of the essence.
All they know for sure is that Cruin still wants the magic of the amulet...and now he knows who to kill to get it.

String of Peril, book 4 of the Life Web Series
The fight rolls on.  Cruin still hungers for the magic of the chain in Leuco’s wing - the problem is, the mage is finding better and more dangerous means by which to get it.  Nowhere is safe, either for Leuco or anyone else caught in the way.
Unfortunately, Thane and his friends are firmly in the way.  They soon find their own enemies to combat, both internal, external, and a terrifying mix of both.  So, while Leuco works to prepare himself for what might come as best he can, Thane, Pacrion, the half-snake Raynara, and the shadowless Akkarn seek help in finally facing down Cruin.  But while Leuco faces unexpected foes in the Burning Lands, in the city of Rerecros Thane and his friends will find as much trouble as they find allies.  Soon everyone finds that they have their own paths to follow - their own String of Peril to contend with.
The question is whether they’ll become strangled by these strings.  The days ahead will force everyone to face their fears and build up their strengths as everyone comes to feel the extend of Cruin’s growing power.

Spinning Threads, book 5 of the Life Web Series
Enemies can turn into allies at shocking speeds, Thane finds out almost immediately.  Soon he’s finding that the reverse is true as well, and that he’ll need as many allies as he can find if he wants to keep himself and his friends alive.  Even with a dragon and a fire-elemental on their side, things are going to get dicey.
One thing is finally clear: if they ever want peace and safety, Thane’s group will have to kill Cruin.  There’s no way around it.  He’s growing more dangerous by the minute...and he has his eyes on something of Raynara’s in particular that will cause havoc before too long.
Alliances are strained to their limits, and everyone must choose sides - but that’s the easy part.  After that, they must follow through.
There is small consolation in one fact: for the first time, they are choosing their own path.  In this Web they have been fighting their way through, all of the paths laid out before them have left them with little choice where to go.  Now, however, Thane and his friends are Spinning their own Threads.

The Final Weaving, book 6 of the Life Web Series
All this time, it feels like Cruin’s just been cutting his teeth on them, and Thane and his friends have just been growing in to their powers.  Slowly, however, they are feeling ready for the storm brewing.
New revelations bring new questions, but the old troubles still remain: Cruin is horrifically powerful.  With the Magi-morph and Nyx for allies, he can’t possibly have a better hand.  Still, Thane’s group has the advantage of numbers, especially now that Alimay and Enaren have thrown in their lot with the rest.  Raynara is also learning more and more from her pipe every day, and the spirit within it.
Then there’s a little thing called Raverus...
The group thinks they’re ready.  Maybe not ready to win, but ready to fight.  This is where all of the threads have been leading to - they’ve reached the center of teh Web.  Everyone stands upon the firm ground of their own decisions, weaknesses, powers, and hopes.  There’s only the final chorus to sing.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed this series and are ready for the final trials that will compose this Final Weaving.
